This notice explains how gm leads marketplace ("GM Leads", "we") handles personal data. gm leads marketplace is the data controller for personal data collected through gmleadsm.com.

Data we collect and why

• Home insurance form data (name, email, phone, ZIP, home ownership, approximate yearly home insurance cost, and a record of your consent): to connect you with licensed insurance agents, agencies and companies that may contact you about home insurance. Legal basis: consent and taking steps at your request.
• Homeowner form data (name, email, phone, ZIP, bill range, home ownership, language, roof and energy details): to match you with solar options and share your lead with one approved installer. Legal basis: consent and taking steps at your request.
• Installer data (company, contact name, email, phone, license, coverage area, website, account login): to review applications, provide accounts and deliver purchased leads. Legal basis: contract performance.
• Support messages: to answer questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Usage and device data (IP address, browser, pages visited): for security, fraud prevention and improving the service. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

We use AI tools to score leads and applications to help prioritize follow-up; this does not produce legal effects on you.

Who we share data with

• Licensed insurance agents, agencies and companies, and the advertising or lead platforms we use to connect with them (home insurance submissions)
• Approved solar installers who purchase your lead (homeowners)
• Service providers for hosting, database, email and AI processing
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for sales, payments, tax compliance and invoicing
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting)
• Authorities where required by law

Advertising measurement and cookies

We use essential cookies for login and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure when a visitor who clicked our ad submits the form. We do not send your name, email or phone number to Google. Tracking is off for visitors in the EEA, UK, Switzerland and Canada. You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com or block cookies in your browser settings.

Retention

Lead data is kept for up to 24 months; installer account data for as long as the account is active plus 12 months; records needed for legal or tax purposes as required by law. Data is then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under CCPA/CPRA and GDPR), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. We do not sell personal data to data brokers. Email glenn.gm.marketplace@gmail.com; we respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Data is stored in the United States. Where transfers from other regions occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and role-based permissions.
